Moving is one of the most stressful things people go through. We built Easy As Pie Moving Co. to take that stress off your plate. Whether you’re moving across Omaha, from Elkhorn to Bellevue or across the river to Council Bluffs, we tailor the move to what you need instead of making you fit our rules.
Some customers want white-glove packing and their dresser measured square to the wall. Others want the big stuff moved fast so they can save money. Both get the same friendly crew in matching gear, the same honest paperwork sent over at booking, and the same promise: we’ve never canceled a move.
Some movers cancel the day before. We never have, not once. We only reschedule for unsafe weather, and we’ll pick the new date with you.
We bill by the hour, and your moving agreement spells out every rate before moving day. No stair fees, no surprise add-ons. If there’s more to move than we planned for, we’ll tell you at the start of the day, not on the bill.
Easy As Pie Moving Co. is a licensed and insured moving company (USDOT 4345362). Our crews are background-checked, and we carry liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage.
Life doesn’t stop for moving day. We offer evening and weekend moves, and same-day moves when a crew is free.
We call when we leave in the morning. When we arrive, we walk through every room with you, confirm what's going and flag anything fragile or awkward before we touch it.
Dressers and nightstands go on first with pads, boxes stack floor to ceiling on top, then beds, couches and the rest. Every load gets strapped.
Before we leave, we do one more walkthrough so nothing gets left behind.
At the new place, you point and we place. We can set up beds and put things exactly where you want them, or drop it all in the garage to save you money.

We pack up all of your items and unpack them at your new address. You just tell us where everything goes.
Moving supplies bundled into packages and delivered to your door before your move date.
Eco-friendly plastic moving bins delivered to your door, no assembly required. When you're done, we pick them up and sanitize them.
Valuable furniture, antiques and artwork handled with extra care. We can build custom crates and bring the right lifting help.
Moving a piano takes the right skills and equipment. We've moved uprights and other piano styles.
Pianos, antiques, artwork and high-value furniture need more than a strong back. Our crews pad and wrap every piece, can build custom crates for the most delicate items, and bring the right equipment so things move safely.
Let us know about any specialty items when you request your estimate so we can plan the crew and the gear before moving day.
We’ll pick up your items from your doorstep and take them to our secure Omaha storage facility, where they’ll be stored for as little or as long as you like. When you need them back, just let us know and we’ll drop them off at a time that suits you.
It’s a simple fix if you’re between homes, downsizing, or need somewhere to keep things during your move.
Straight answers to the questions we hear most about moving in Omaha.
We charge by the hour based on your crew size and truck. Fill out the free estimate form and we’ll send you a price range fast. There are no stair fees or surprise add-ons, and every rate is in your agreement before moving day.
It depends on your home and how much you’re moving. An average one-bedroom apartment takes about two and a half to three and a half hours. Stairs, elevators and extra boxes add time, and we’ll tell you up front if we see more than the estimate planned for.
We recommend two to four weeks ahead, especially in the summer. Need to move sooner? Call us. If a crew is free, we can move you the same day.
Yes. We have boxes, tape, bubble wrap and packing paper. If you book our packing service, the materials are included.
You don’t have to, but it helps. Full drawers make dressers heavy and can strain or crack the frame, so lighter is safer for your furniture.
We pad and strap everything to keep that from happening. If it does, we follow the claims process Nebraska requires of licensed movers. You choose your valuation coverage when you book, with time to read the details first.
It helps at the start so we can walk through what’s going and what’s staying. At the new place, we need you to point us to the right rooms. In between, relax. One customer napped on her couch.
We move in all kinds of weather and come prepared with tarps, plastic wrap and padding. If conditions are truly unsafe, we’ll call you to pick a new date together.
